Cosmetics distributor Lingcoms announced on the 20th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Selbaekyoung to develop a new fusion bio-cosmetics business.

Under the MOU, the two companies will share personnel and physical resources. Selbaekyoung will research and identify functional cosmetic ingredients and provide the findings, while Lingcoms will use that data to build new business models. The aim is to move beyond simple product distribution and create a science-backed lineup of high-performance beauty products.

Selbaekyoung was founded by Professor Jinseok Lee of Hanyang University’s chemistry department, who has spent 17 years researching nanomaterials chemistry. The company has developed a \”nano-bio patch\” that can slow aging and modulate cell behavior through physical structure alone—without chemical actives. Selbaekyoung’s technology was recognized when it was selected for the \”2025 Laboratory-Specialized Startup Leading University\” and \”2025 Startup-Centered University\” programs. The company receives support from Hanyang University’s startup support office.
