Musinsa (458860) has unveiled the top three outstanding brands from the sixth cohort of its ‘Musinsa Next Fashion Scholarship (MNFS)’ program.
The fashion powerhouse is now gearing up to support these fresh labels in their exciting market debut.
The MNFS sixth cohort finalists are the edgy Pseudonym (PSEUDONYM), the avant-garde Ogi (OGI), and the chic Eyang (EYANG).
MNFS is Musinsa’s flagship initiative to nurture fashion’s next big things. It’s designed to help fashion students and budding entrepreneurs launch and grow their own brands. This year’s program was split into two tracks: ‘Scale-Up’ and ‘Final’, aimed at boosting brand independence.
Last September’s chosen scholars dove into branding and production planning during the Scale-Up Track, which wrapped up in December. Each scholar received a cool 5 million KRW (about 3,750 USD) scholarship from Musinsa. With this cash injection, they crafted prototypes for the Spring/Summer 2026 season. Talk about fashion-forward!
Post Scale-Up, Musinsa put 11 brands under the microscope to pick the top three for the Final Track. They looked at everything from brand portfolios to prototypes and even snap content. To keep things fair and market-savvy, they mixed expert opinions from designer brand directors and fashion MDs with public votes on the Musinsa app.
The chosen three will strut their stuff in the Final Track from February to April. Musinsa’s pulling out all the stops – professional photoshoots for lookbooks, marketing magic, the works. Come April, they’re setting up shop with a pop-up store in Seoul’s trendy Seongsu-dong. It’s all about getting up close and personal with potential customers.
A Musinsa spokesperson gushed, “Seeing these scholars turn their passion into actual products is beyond inspiring. We’re committed to giving them all the support they need to make their mark as emerging designers and build brands that last.”
