Lee pinch-hit in the top of the eighth at American Family Field in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on the morning of June 3 (Korean time) against the Brewers. He went 1-for-1 with an RBI, extending his hitting streak to 10 games this season and moving within one of his personal best — an 11-game streak in 2024.
The Giants had given Lee the day off from the starting lineup, but he was summoned in the eighth with two outs and runners on first and second while San Francisco trailed 2-4. Facing Milwaukee’s third pitcher, Abner Uribe, Lee jumped on the first pitch and blooped a single to left. The runner from second scored, cutting the deficit to 3-4.
Lee returned from the injured list on May 30 after dealing with lower-back muscle soreness. In five games since his return he’s gone 13-for-20 with three RBIs, a scorching .650 average over that span. Despite the brief layoff, his timing looks sharper than ever — whether starting or coming off the bench, he’s producing. He’s now hitting .307 on the season (61-for-199).
The rally stalled when the next batter popped out to center to end the top of the eighth. Milwaukee then tacked on four runs in the bottom half, and the Giants fell 3-8, dropping their second straight game. San Francisco sits at 23-38 (.377), last in the National League West.
