(The CEN News / Reporter Jeong Seong-hoon) German appliance brand Blaupunkt officially released its handheld cordless fan, the BLP-PF101 AirTune 120, on the 13th as it targets the small-appliance market ahead of summer.

The new model does more than move air like a conventional portable fan. Blaupunkt added a ceramic cooling element that uses the Peltier effect — a technology found in refrigerators and air conditioners — to lower the temperature of the airflow that reaches the skin, delivering a noticeably stronger cooling sensation.
The AirTune 120 also includes refined, user-focused controls. You can set the airflow across 120 discrete levels, allowing precise adjustment for office work, outdoor activities, sleep and other situations. A BLDC motor provides robust airflow while keeping noise to a minimum, so the unit is suitable for quiet environments like offices or bedrooms.
Portability and practicality are central to the design. Weighing about 156g, the compact, ultra-light body reduces wrist strain during extended use and fits easily into a bag. An included wrist strap improves stability while on the move, enhancing convenience during outdoor activities.

The fan also offers a blade-rotation feature for wider air dispersion, a 2,000mAh battery and USB Type-C charging to boost everyday usability. Offered in white and navy, the unit aims to balance functionality with style.
A Blaupunkt spokesperson said, “The AirTune 120 combines cooling technology with precise airflow control to deliver a user experience that sets it apart from existing products. Its light, portable design should make it an essential lifestyle item this summer.”
Hana Industry, which manages Blaupunkt’s domestic operations, distributes a range of IT and lifestyle products and continues to expand the brand’s lineup.
