[Herald Economy=Reporter Kim Myeong-sang] Frip, a leisure and activities platform, is rolling out a personalized leisure-discovery service powered by conversational AI.
Frip announced on the 27th that it has listed its app in OpenAI’s ChatGPT app ecosystem, \”Apps in ChatGPT.\” Instead of searching by location, date, or category, users can now chat with ChatGPT to get recommendations for one-day classes, hobbies, and leisure experiences tailored to their tastes and goals.
If a user types \”Recommend unique activities to enjoy in Seoul this weekend,\” \”Find a Korean one-day class I can take with my foreign friend,\” or \”Are there any healing programs good for solo participants?,\” the Frip app will suggest relevant activities based on the conversation’s context. Users can view recommendations right inside ChatGPT and click through to see details or make a booking.
Frip calls the listing a turning point for leisure discovery in the AI era. As demand grows for recommendations that consider who you’re with, the vibe you want, travel distance, budget, and timing, Frip plans to combine its activity categories, region-based listings, and participation-purpose experience data with ChatGPT’s conversational interface so people can find leisure experiences faster and more easily.
The company also expects this move to capture more granular user preferences while expanding local experience touchpoints for international visitors. ChatGPT users abroad will be able to explore local activities, one-day classes, and cultural experiences in Korea in English and other languages, broadening exposure opportunities for experiential travel offerings aimed at inbound travelers.
A Frip spokesperson said, \”Registering with Apps in ChatGPT marks an important milestone in Frip’s evolution into an AI-driven leisure and activity platform,\” and added, \”We will continue to strengthen personalized activity curation that recommends experiences tailored to users’ tastes, situations, and goals.\”
Frip offers a wide range of leisure, hobby, and activity products, including hiking, running, yoga, crafts, cooking, outdoor adventures, cultural experiences, and one-day classes.
