Hotels are leaning into staycation-style experiences and deeper guest connections with wellness classes, dining gift cards, global culinary programming, and refreshed golf resorts.

Parkroche Resort & Wellness is hosting “Wellness Month 2026” throughout June.

The program ties into June’s global wellness calendar — think World Running Day, Global Wellness Day, and the International Day of Yoga. Parkroche began the initiative as “Wellness Week” in 2022 and expanded it into “Wellness Month” in 2025.

Over the event period, the resort will offer around 20 premium wellness experiences amid Jeongseon’s natural scenery in Gangwon Province. Guests can pick from running and yoga classes, meditation and therapy sessions, and specialty offerings designed to promote better sleep, emotional balance, and sustainable routines. Highlights include Welcome Movement and running sessions, underwater and tea meditations, Ashtanga and Viniyoga classes, and Maeumdarim yoga.

There’s also a wellness stamp tour for guests: visit key resort spots, collect stamps to complete an image, and claim a Parkroche signature handkerchief. Attendees will receive welcome gifts in partnership with Lululemon, Oh Haru, and Flavon, enjoy discounts on paid weekly wellness programs, and can join open classes run with the Korea Yoga Alliance.

Hanmu Convention will launch the HMC Dining Gift Card on June 1. The physical card can be used at hotel restaurants and bars run by Hanmu Convention — Oakwood Premier Coex Center, Oakwood Premier Incheon, and Mercure Seoul Magok — and is aimed at summer holiday dining, group meals, and corporate gifting.

The card is offered in Gold and Black editions. It can be used at participating hotel F&B outlets for the face value printed on the card and carries a five-year validity. Existing THE HMC members may stack membership benefits according to each hotel’s policy. Cardholders can check real-time balances via the QR code on the back and combine the gift card with other payment methods.

Participating venues include Oak Restaurant at Coex Center and Incheon, Panoramic65 — which is listed as a Unique Venue by the Korea Tourism Organization — Moasis at Mercure Seoul Magok, and M Lounge & Bar. No online registration or verification is required: present the physical card at the venue, and cards are also available for purchase at hotel F&B outlets.

Sushi Mitani — the Yotsuya, Tokyo-based restaurant known for its hard-to-get reservations and its signature Mitani Mariage pairing sushi with champagne, wine, sake, and cold-brew tea — has opened Mitani New York on the first floor of Lotte New York Palace.

Mitani New York features two separate dining rooms, each centering on a six-seat sushi counter. The interior draws on the Japanese yin-yang and five-elements philosophy, using five distinct color concepts to reflect the seasons, directions, and nature’s cycles. By limiting daily seating, the restaurant prioritizes personalized service and an immersive dining experience.

Lotte New York Palace said Mitani New York will bolster its global culinary lineup and sharpen its dining edge in New York’s luxury-hotel scene. Built in 1882 and located in Midtown Manhattan, the hotel offers 909 rooms and around 20 event spaces. Lotte Hotel & Resorts acquired the property in 2015.

Kumho Resort’s Asiana Weihai Country Club & Resort recently refreshed its course and remodeled guest rooms. Weihai, China, is roughly an hour’s flight from Incheon Airport and has been gaining traction as a nearby overseas destination thanks to visa-free entry and expanding direct flights.

Asiana Weihai CC is known for coastal cliff views and a competitive course layout. China Golf Digest and Sina Golf ranked it 28th in their 2024–2025 Top 100 Golf Courses in China. This year, the club standardized green-collar sections to boost maintenance efficiency and the quality of play.

To enhance safety and convenience, the club is introducing new carts starting in 2025. The upgraded carts feature headlights, wipers, heated seats, and portable fans, with additional units added in April. The resort also reconfigured some rooms to offer both double-bed and twin-bed options and upgraded amenities — including remodeled vanities, wireless chargers, and automatic bathroom blinds — to improve guest comfort.
