[Sports Seoul | Reporter Won Seong-yun] Fashion and lifestyle media brand ELLE announced on the 27th that it will open its first beachfront resort, the ELLE Resort & Beach Club Bali, in Bali, Indonesia, in 2028.
The project—part of ELLE’s push into lifestyle offerings ahead of the brand’s 80th anniversary in 2025—will be located in Seminyak, one of Bali’s most sought-after luxury destinations. The resort will feature 168 suites and penthouses and is being developed in partnership with global real estate firm Geonet Developments International. Upon completion, SONO Hotels & Resorts will operate the property, promising five-star service standards.
ELLE has previously introduced the urban boutique hotel Maison ELLE in Paris and Amsterdam. The Bali development marks a deliberate move beyond city hotels into full-fledged leisure resorts that embrace beach and natural settings.
The resort’s architecture and design will be handled by internationally recognized studios. Bali-based Inspiral Architects will lead the architectural design, while global studio Conran and Partners will oversee the interiors. Tristan du Plessis Studio is responsible for the beach club and suite designs. Facilities will include a lagoon pool modeled on ocean currents, private pools, a VIP lounge, a spa, a fitness center, and fine-dining restaurants.
Constance Benqué, CEO of ELLE International, said, “ELLE has evolved beyond a magazine into a global brand with more than 80 years of history. Expanding into hospitality is a natural strategic step as we broaden our universe through immersive experiences beyond media. By combining fashion, beauty and wellness, we aim to forge meaningful connections with a new generation of consumers.”
Chad Egan, CEO of Geonet, added, “The ELLE Resort & Beach Club Bali will be a distinctive destination where travelers and design enthusiasts from around the world can find inspiration and comfort.”
Meanwhile, ELLE is expanding its spa operations across Asia and runs ELLE Café locations in Türkiye, Thailand and Japan. The brand is also developing branded residences in Miami and Dubai as it continues to grow its global lifestyle and real estate portfolio. socool@sportsseoul.com
