A photo posted recently on an online community, titled “Our mischievous pup, peaceful as always,” shows a TV remote smashed to pieces with a dog grinning beside it. The post quickly drew attention.
In the picture, the owner holds a remote so badly mangled its original shape is unrecognizable; the channel and volume buttons are gone, suggesting the episode was more intense than it looks.
Deep tooth marks score the plastic, rendering the device unusable.
But the dog—apparently the culprit—seems oblivious to the owner’s frustration. He smiles broadly, mouth open in a guilty yet delighted puppy grin.

Commenters were charmed by the dog’s confident, lovable demeanor—as if to say, “I had fun, and that’s what matters.”
Pet owners chimed in with remarks like, “A smile is worth more than the price of a remote,” “How could anyone stay mad at that face?” and “My dog chewed up a remote yesterday, too,” expressing broad sympathy and amusement.
They’ll need to replace the remote, but the mischievous pup’s playful energy provided a small, welcome lift to the daily grind.
