[Sports Seoul | Reporter Kim Mi-young] Lotte Wellfood announced on the 11th that it is rolling out four varieties of “Uiseong Garlic Whole Roast.” The line includes four flavors centered on chicken and pork belly: soy-sauce dak-galbi, gochujang dak-galbi, soy-sauce pork belly, and gochujang pork belly.
The “Uiseong Garlic Whole Roast” can be heated from the refrigerator in its original packaging—just pop it in the microwave for about 2 minutes and it’s ready to eat. The company uses whole chicken leg and whole pork cuts, seasons them with locally sourced Uiseong garlic, cold-ages them for 12 hours, then applies a double-grill process to maximize texture and flavor.
A Lotte Wellfood spokesperson noted that consumer demand for convenient yet high-quality meat side dishes has been steadily rising. The company says it will continue expanding its differentiated refrigerated processed-meat lineup under the Uiseong Garlic brand.
