[Sports Today reporter Lee Sang-pil] Ha-seong Kim (Atlanta Braves) is mired in a four-game hitless stretch.
On May 19 (Korean time), Kim started at shortstop and batted eighth for the Braves in a road game against the Miami Marlins at loanDepot Park in Miami, Florida. He went 0-for-2 with one walk.
The slump drops Kim’s season average to 0.053 (1-for-19). Since his first hit of the year on May 14 against the Chicago Cubs, he has gone 0-for-13 over four games.
In the top of the third, Kim led off against Miami right-hander Max Meyer and struck out swinging. In the top of the fifth, with two outs, he drew a walk but the rally stalled behind him.
Kim came up again as the leadoff hitter in the top of the eighth and flied out to right field, finishing the night without a hit.
The Braves were shut out, losing 12-0 to the Marlins.
