[MyDaily = Daejeon reporter Lee Jeong-won] Daejeon was buzzing even on a weekday.
The Hanwha Eagles and the Lotte Giants met for Game 3 of the 2026 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO League season at Daejeon Hanwha Life Ballpark on the 19th. Hanwha holds the edge in the season series, leading 2-0.
Even on a weekday, all 17,000 tickets were gone. A Hanwha official said, “As of 6:06 p.m., all seats were sold out (17,000).” It was Hanwha’s 19th home sellout and their third straight sellout after the May 9–10 series against the LG Twins. Home attendance has now topped 356,202, pushing the season total past 350,000.
Hanwha’s lineup was Lee Jin-young (center) – Yonathan Peraza (right) – Moon Hyun-bin (left) – Kang Baek-ho (designated hitter) – Noh Si-hwan (third base) – Heo In-seo (catcher) – Kim Tae-yeon (first base) – Lee Do-yoon (second base) – Shim Woo-joon (shortstop). Wilkel Hernandez took the mound as the starter.
Lotte started Hwang Seong-bin (center) – Go Seung-min (second base) – Victor Reyes (designated hitter) – Na Seung-yeop (first base) – Han Dong-hee (third base) – Jeon Jun-woo (left) – Jeon Min-jae (shortstop) – Jang Du-seong (right) – Son Seong-bin (catcher). The Giants sent Jeremy Bisley to the hill as their starter.

The game remained knotted at 2-2. Kang Baek-ho gave Hanwha an early lead with an RBI in the bottom of the first, but Lotte’s Jeon Min-jae answered with a two-run homer in the top of the second to flip the score. Yonathan Peraza’s solo shot in the bottom of the third kept the game tight.
