On May 19 (Korea Standard Time), the San Francisco Giants removed Lee Jung-hoo from their game in Arizona after he developed a back cramp, and the club left him off the starting lineup the next day. For the May 20 road game against the Arizona Diamondbacks, Lee was not listed among the starters. Lee had begun the May 19 game as the leadoff hitter and right fielder but reported back tightness and was replaced by Will Brennan before the bottom of the fourth. After the game, manager Tony Vaitello called the substitution a precaution and indicated Lee could miss the following day. The Giants have not placed him on the injured list, but further exam results could prolong his absence. Lee previously injured his shoulder while fielding in his first MLB season in 2024, underwent surgery and ended that season early. #LeeJunghoo #absence #MLB #backcramp Yonhap News TV — For tips and inquiries: KakaoTalk/LINE jebo23; Jang Yoon-hee (ego@yna.co.kr)
