[MyDaily — Reporter Choi Byung-jin] Tottenham have their sights set on Magnesh Aklijush of AS Monaco.
British outlet Football Insider reported on the 18th (Korea Standard Time) that Aklijush is expected to leave AS Monaco in the upcoming summer transfer window and that Tottenham have long been interested in signing him.
Aklijush, a French national, is known for his close ball control and a dangerous left foot. Comfortable as an attacking midfielder and capable of operating on the wing, he provides creativity in the final third. A product of Monaco’s youth academy, he has been with the first team since 2021. This season he made 31 Ligue 1 appearances, scoring 6 goals and providing 7 assists, and totaled 43 appearances across all competitions with 7 goals and 11 assists.
Interest in Aklijush dates back to last summer. British outlet TeamTalk reported that Tottenham sent scouts to watch him in person.
He has also been persistently linked with Paris Saint-Germain. French outlet L’Équipe reported that PSG are considering Aklijush as a potential replacement for Lee Kang-in. If Lee, who has been linked with a move to Atlético Madrid, departs, PSG could move for Aklijush.
Aklijush has been named to France’s final squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America. Football Insider noted the World Cup could act as a showcase for him, with many clubs keeping a close eye.

For clubs tracking Aklijush, the World Cup presents an opportunity to evaluate him on football’s biggest stage — and it could intensify the transfer scramble. Tottenham are reportedly prepared to spend up to £50 million (about 100 billion KRW, roughly $75 million) to secure his signature.
