[iNews24 Reporter Jong-su Park] Jinan County has launched a short-form video contest open to all county government departments as part of the 2026–2027 “Year to Visit Jinan” campaign. The goal is to spark a promotional culture within the public sector and encourage staff to voluntarily participate in promoting the region.
Each department was asked to produce creative videos that showcase Jinan’s tourism, culture, festivals, food and local policies in a friendly, approachable way for residents and visitors.

What makes this especially meaningful is that public employees planned, filmed and even starred in the videos themselves, capturing Jinan’s charm up close.
The contest drew 31 submissions, and an internal review selected 15 entries in the first round.
The chosen videos are now posted on Jinan County’s official YouTube channel, Ppamang TV, and are available for anyone to watch.
Jinan County will combine YouTube view counts with voting results from its internal administrative network to select three final winners, then hold a separate awards ceremony.
The county hopes the contest will boost staff engagement in promotion and help spread a lasting culture of original content creation.
A Jinan County official said, “This short-form contest is meaningful because public servants themselves discover and share Jinan’s charms. We will continue working with residents to build momentum for the ‘Year to Visit Jinan’ through a variety of content.”
