Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said on the 12th (local time) that the area considered part of the Strait of Hormuz has expanded tenfold compared with before the conflict. Mohammad Akbarzadeh, the IRGC Navy’s deputy director for political affairs, told local media that the strait was once limited to zones around a few islands, but that perception has changed. He said the strait has become a much broader operational area, expanding from roughly 20–30 miles to about 200–300 miles. The area Akbarzadeh described is larger than the vessel control line the IRGC established on the 4th. #Iran #war #StraitOfHormuz #IRGC Yonhap News TV — tips and inquiries: KakaoTalk/LINE jebo23 Lee Ji-yoon (easyun@yna.co.kr)
