The Cheongsong Apple Festival, Cheongsong County’s flagship fall celebration, marks its 20th year and returns with bolder programming and upgraded amenities to welcome visitors.
Cheongsong County said it convened the 2026 Festival Promotion Committee on the 7th in the county office’s first conference room, where officials reviewed and approved this year’s festival schedule, direction, and theme.
At the meeting, the committee set the 20th Cheongsong Apple Festival for five days, November 4–8, at the Yongjeoncheon–Hyeonbiam area, timed to coincide with the apples’ peak flavor.
This year’s theme is “Now, Cheongsong! Bathed in Apples.” It’s an open invitation for people across the country to visit while the apples are at their very best.
Designated a cultural tourism festival by South Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Cheongsong Apple Festival has grown into a premier national agricultural event that draws visitors from across the country. Expect apple-forward eats, hands-on experiences, live performances, and exhibitions designed to delight every sense.
The popular online Cheongsong Apple Festival, which drew strong interest last year, will return this year. Organizers aim to boost accessibility by allowing those who can’t attend in person to purchase apples and enjoy festival content online.
The county said it will actively incorporate feedback from last year’s visitors. Plans include expanding accessibility facilities for people with disabilities and adding more rest areas for families, creating a comfortable festival environment for all ages.
A county official said, “The 20th Cheongsong Apple Festival will spotlight the apples’ exceptional taste, the area’s pristine nature, and Cheongsong’s warm hospitality. We’re preparing thoroughly now to make this South Korea’s top festival, where residents and visitors alike can enjoy themselves safely and happily.”
