[EPN Enpinow reporter Ko Nari] Kwon Soon-il of Urban Zakapa said he refuses to own a car because of his stance against drunk driving.
In a video posted May 5 on the channel ‘Tipsy Commentary’, Kwon Soon-il and Jo Hyun-ah joined hosts Ahn Jae-hyun, Heo Kyung-hwan and Muzi for a candid conversation about drinking.
In the show’s second half, cast members took breathalyzer tests and discussed their views on drunk driving.
When Muzi said it seemed odd to assume a breathalyzer test automatically implies someone will drive, Jo Hyun-ah replied that none of the cast members drive.
Kwon said that the mistakes of public figures call for greater public awareness and emphasized that he intentionally chooses not to buy a car.
On the program, a breathalyzer registered a blood-alcohol concentration of 0.13 percent, indicating he was heavily intoxicated.
Kwon, born in 1988, has been a member of Urban Zakapa since 2009. The group has gained widespread popularity with hits such as ‘That Day, Us’, ‘Thursday Night’, ‘Winter on the Tip of My Nose’ and ‘I Don’t Love You’.
Kwon is known for a distinctive vocal range that bridges traditional male and female registers, powerful vocal ability, and his songwriting and composing contributions to key tracks like ‘I Don’t Love You’ and ‘That Day, Us’.
