On May 4, composer XeoN (Wang Jeong-hyun) posted on social media that “my friend and the DJMAX composer we all love, LeeZu, has set out on a long journey alone,” announcing his passing.
XeoN asked people to remember the many songs LeeZu left behind and to pay their respects so he would not be alone on his final journey, offering his condolences.
Born in 1984, LeeZu made his name composing music for games. He contributed to the DJMAX series and worked on titles including ELOA, Crystal Hearts and Tower of God. He also released solo albums such as Secret, Red House and Island, continuing his musical work.
Notably, on April 25 LeeZu uploaded a video to his channel titled “Goodbye” and left a message that read, “Thank you to everyone, and I’m sorry,” a post that has deepened fans’ sadness.
