Improving access to Guri Hangang Citizen Park
Guri — Kim Jun-gu, reporter
Guri City in Gyeonggi Province said on May 4 that it will extend local shuttle-bus service to Guri Hangang Citizen Park during the 2026 Guri Canola Flower Festival, which runs May 8–10, to make travel easier for visitors.
Anticipating large crowds, the city will deploy 39 buses across six neighborhood routes (Routes 2, 5, 6, 6-1, 7 and 7-1) to connect major Line 8 subway stations — including Guri, Donggureung and Jangja Lake Park stations — with Guri Hangang Citizen Park.
Service will run daily from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
The city also installed a temporary shuttle stop under the Godeok-Topyeong Bridge so visitors can access both the festival grounds and the nearby cosmos flower field more easily.
That section lies on a newly opened road; its bright, wide layout should allow visitors to wait more safely and comfortably.
“We strengthened transportation services so residents and visitors can reach the festival safely and conveniently by public transit,” a city official said. “We will continue working to operate public transportation and minimize inconvenience for residents.”
