With Japan’s Golden Week (Apr. 29–May 6) overlapping China’s Labor Day holiday (May 1–5), travel to South Korea is heating up — and tourism companies and casinos are racing to cash in on the influx of international visitors. On Apr. 30, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism estimated that about 80,000–90,000 Japanese and 100,000–110,000 Chinese tourists will visit during the holiday period.
