● Honda teams up with Sanrio’s beloved rebel Kuromi for official accessories—now landing in Korea
● Made with bio-based DURABIO™ plastic to boost eco-credentials and durability
● Limited run of just 27 pieces in Korea—designed to spark collectors’ FOMO
Honda Korea is releasing an official side tank panel for the Monkey 125 in collaboration with Sanrio’s fan-favorite Kuromi. The piece combines bold styling with advanced materials, targeting riders who love the Monkey 125’s playful, retro-chic vibe.
Advanced printing and design that amplify Kuromi’s charm
The accessory is engineered to fit every Monkey 125 model, regardless of year. Using in-mold molding and gravure printing, the panel melds seamlessly with the fuel tank. Kuromi appears in two different expressions—one on each side—set against Honda’s signature red for a cheeky, eye-catching finish.
Honda also pushed the envelope on materials. The side tank panel uses DURABIO™, a bio-based engineering plastic that helps lower carbon emissions. DURABIO’s clarity lets vivid interior colors and subtle gradients pop, while offering excellent surface durability and long-lasting color retention.
An extra dose of personality for the 60-year-old Monkey 125
The Monkey 125 carries a 60-year legacy and mixes new-retro styling with chrome accents for a standout look. Its 124cc (about 7.57 cu in) air-cooled engine paired with a 5-speed manual transmission delivers lively performance. It also boasts an impressive fuel economy of 70.5 km per liter (about 165.8 mpg US).
The Honda x Kuromi side tank panel is priced at 356,400 KRW (approximately $267.30 USD). Only 27 units will be available in Korea, sold through authorized Honda motorcycle dealers and retailers nationwide. Given the limited quantity, it’s likely to become a sought-after collectible among riders.
