[SPOTV News = Reporter Choi Sin-ae] Online streaming service Wavve has revealed a robust slate of new content for May through its \”Monthly Wavve\” video. The lineup includes Wavve exclusives such as TXT’s Parenting Diary and the original documentary Cult Hunter, alongside buzzy dramas and variety shows like 21st Century Great Madam, Secret Audit, and Noona’s My Woman Season 2.

▶ TXT’s Parenting Diary returns after 24 years → Wavve original in-depth documentary Cult Hunter

‘TXT’s Parenting Diary,’ which premieres Friday, May 1, follows global K-pop group Tomorrow X Together (TXT) as they navigate life caring for infants in a parenting-observation reality series. The show revives a childcare-format variety program that first rose to fame in the early 2000s and is considered a landmark in idol entertainment. Across five members, the group takes on sincere, distinct parenting challenges that promise both laughter and warm, restorative moments.

On Tuesday, May 19, Wavve will exclusively roll out an expanded cut of its original documentary Cult Hunter. The film tracks three sons as they probe the murder of the late cult researcher Director Tak Myeong-hwan and the forces behind his killing. The term “cult hunter” refers to people who infiltrate and expose pseudo-religious groups; this documentary reveals the truth behind Director Tak’s murder — the first of its kind in South Korea — 32 years after the incident. Wavve will be the first to premiere the more in-depth version.

▶ Get your dopamine fix! IU × Byeon Woo-seok’s 21st Century Great Madam → Shin Hye-sun × Gong Myung’s Secret Audit → Shin Ha-kyun × Oh Jung-se × Heo Sung-tae’s Fifty Percent

MBC’s 21st Century Great Madam, which has generated buzz since its April 10 debut, is also available on Wavve. Set in a modern constitutional monarchy version of Korea, the drama follows Seong Hee-joo (IU), a commoner who seemingly has everything, and Prince Ian (Byeon Woo-seok), the king’s son who appears to have nothing. Their story is a status-defying romance about carving out one’s destiny.

After the pair agree to a contractual marriage, their mutual romance ignites while a string of mysterious deaths and palace intrigues begin to surface, increasing the series’ momentum. Supporting players Min Jeong-woo (No Sang-hyun) and Yoon I-rang (Gong Seung-yeon) are expected to complicate the alliance between Hee-joo and Ian, heightening anticipation for the back half of the season.

tvN’s Secret Audit, which premiered April 27, quickly became a talking point, drawing intense viewer interest from the start. The series centers on Joo In-a (Shin Hye-sun), the audit office chief who hides deep secrets, and No Gi-jun (Gong Myung), the department ace suddenly reassigned to investigate workplace misconduct. Their tense, close-quarters partnership turns into a gripping audit romance. Director Lee Soo-hyun, writer Yeo Eun-ho, and rom-com creator Yang Hee-seung bring the series together, raising expectations.

Carrying the torch from 21st Century Great Madam, the action-comedy Fifty Percent — led by Shin Ha-kyun, Oh Jung-se, and Heo Sung-tae — premieres Friday, May 22. The plot follows three once-notorious men who were sent into exile on remote Yeongseon Island after a fateful incident and, a decade later, set out to uncover a long-buried truth. Shin Ha-kyun plays Jeong Ho-myeong, a Chinese restaurant chef who has quietly hidden a past career at the National Intelligence Service; Oh Jung-se is Bong Je-soon, a North Korean special operative suffering from amnesia; Heo Sung-tae portrays Kang Beom-ryong, a former gangster who now runs a convenience store. Weathered but loyal, these men promise a story that is equal parts funny and bittersweet.

▶ Noona’s My Woman Season 2 → Sora and Jin-kyung → a diverse slate of variety shows

KBS2’s dating show Noona’s My Woman, which captures the chemistry between older women and younger men, returns for Season 2 on Saturday, May 23. The series resonated by depicting women who missed opportunities for love while building careers and younger men who believe age is no barrier to romance. Season 1 produced three final couples and developed a devoted fanbase, so viewers are eager to see which new pairings will spark in Season 2.

MBC’s Sora and Jin-kyung, which premiered April 26, follows first-generation models Lee So-ra and Hong Jin-kyung as they return to the runway and rekindle the passion of their twenties. The premiere featured an intimate reunion between the two after 15 years. Both will audition under the same conditions as 10- and 20-something models who traveled from around the world, all aiming for a spot at Paris Fashion Week. Their journey back onto the catwalk has viewers watching closely.

Channel A’s Gulliver’s Travels, debuting in May, documents the domestic and international trips of former ssireum wrestler and kickboxer — and social media meme figure — Choi Hong-man, nicknamed the “Techno Goliath.” The show highlights his imposing stature: 218 cm (about 7 ft 2 in), 160 kg (about 353 lb), and a shoe size of 360 mm (about 14.2 in). Comedians Kim Won-hoon and Jo Jin-se from the Short Box channel (3.8 million subscribers) join him as travel companions, promising fresh laughs. Wavve will offer a one-week early release.

Wavve will also stream KBS2’s Our Neighborhood Baseball Boss, in which KBO legends Park Yong-taek, Lee Dae-ho, Kim Tae-gyun, and Na Ji-wan take on head-coaching roles for the first time to scout youth baseball talent. Each returns to his home region—Seoul, Busan, Chungcheong, and Gwangju—to lead as a youth coach, drawing interest from baseball fans. Additionally, MBC’s mountain-based variety show Choi Woo-Su-San, the network’s first series set deep in the mountains, follows Yoo Se-yoon, Jang Dong-min, Heo Kyung-hwan, Boom, and Yang Se-hyung as they compete in missions to win acorns and battle for the top spot; that series will also be available on Wavve.
