(The CEN News / Kim Su-in) CORTIS has sustained a strong run on both domestic and international music charts with their new single REDRED.
On April 28, the title track from their second mini-album held the top spot on Apple Music Korea’s Today’s Top 100: South Korea chart for a third consecutive day. Following its April 20 release, the song entered the April 21 chart at No. 72 and climbed steadily, reaching No. 1 for the first time on April 26. It remained at No. 1 for three days and topped YouTube’s Trending Music list on the morning of April 29.
The single has also gained traction across major domestic streaming platforms. REDRED debuted at No. 90 on Melon’s daily chart on April 27 and rose to a personal best of No. 43 on Melon’s real-time Top 100 on the morning of April 29. On Bugs Music’s daily chart, it climbed four spots to No. 28 on April 27. Over the same period, it jumped 23 places on Vibe’s chart, landing at No. 61 on Today’s Top 100.
REDRED is making gains internationally as well. On April 28 it moved up 11 spots to No. 57 on Apple Music’s Global Top 100. It also ranked No. 96 on Spotify’s Daily Top Songs Global chart (as of April 27), marking a second consecutive day in the global Top 100. The track has steadily climbed the charts for nearly ten days since release, underscoring its growing global appeal.
Listeners have responded to REDRED for its fresh sound and memorable choreography. The song’s distinctive texture and an instantly addictive routine have drawn attention, and all members participated in the creative process, blending elements from multiple genres. Credited as co-choreographers, the group helped spark a short-form trend with the signature “palang-gui” move — shaking both hands beside the head and then crossing the arms in an X.
CORTIS is scheduled to perform on a string of major music shows: Mnet’s M Countdown on April 30, KBS2’s Music Bank on May 1, MBC’s Show! Music Core on May 2, and SBS’s Inkigayo on May 3.
Meanwhile, their second mini-album GREENGREEN, which features the new single, is set for official release on May 4. As of April 29, Spotify pre-saves increased by 14,000 from the previous day to a total of 958,000, and distributor YG Plus and Universal Records reported preorders of 2,129,756 copies through April 27.
