Jinyoung Reunites with I.O.I After 10 Years: What to Expect from Their New Collaboration?
Daniel Kim Views

Jinyoung, now working as a music producer and actor, will reunite with the girl group I.O.I 10 years after they first collaborated.
On April 28, his agency Management Run announced that Jinyoung will join I.O.I for their May reunion, supporting the group as a producer rather than appearing as an actor.
A former member of B1A4, Jinyoung has balanced an acting career with steady musical output, writing and producing his own material while working behind the scenes for others.
The collaboration traces back to Mnet’s Produce 101. In 2016, Jinyoung produced contestants’ performances of “Same Place” and “When the Cherry Blossoms Fall,” songs that have retained their popularity since the show aired.
Jinyoung is credited with writing and composing “Smile and Goodbye,” a track the group plans to pre-release on May 4.
I.O.I’s third mini album, I.O.I: LOOP, which includes Jinyoung’s contributions, will be released on May 19 at 6 p.m. on various online music platforms.
