Global fashion brand Uniqlo announced on the 27th that it’s rolling out locally themed collaboration T‑shirts sold exclusively at its Jeju-area stores just in time for peak tourist season.
The collection was developed with Jeju-based partners and is a limited release aimed at both residents and visiting travelers, domestic and international.
Partners include local tangerine-product startup Gyul Medal, well-known Jeju bakery Abebe Bakery, regional liquor brand Hallasan Soju, and Jeju Airport.
The Gyul Medal tee that went viral on social media last year is back and expanded into five fresh designs this year.
Abebe Bakery turned its signature treats—think cream buns and doughnuts—into playful graphics. Jeju Airport leaned into local iconography with dol hareubang statues, Hallabong citrus, and airport codes to conjure the feel of a Jeju getaway. Hallasan Soju’s designs showcase sweeping views of Mt. Hallasan alongside the brand’s own elements.
The shirts will be available at Uniqlo’s Seogwipo, Jeju Ido, and Jeju Donam stores.
Uniqlo is also bringing its UTme! customization service to Jeju for the first time. At the Seogwipo store, shoppers can use in-store iPads to mix collaboration artwork with a variety of stamps and design their own T‑shirts and tote bags.
