Discover Seoul’s Premium Bakery: Exclusive May Cakes and Desserts to Celebrate Family Month

[Herald Economy — Reporter Kim Jin] Seoul Shilla Hotel’s Pastry Boutique — the hotel’s upscale bakery — is rolling out a limited-edition cake collection this May to celebrate Family Month.
The collection is all about gift-ready desserts. The May lineup features three signature cakes, one roll cake, and a set of baked cookies.
The showstopper, “Blooming Love,” is crowned with fresh carnations and layers airy blueberry chiffon with whipped cream and a jammy blueberry filling. It’s available only through May 15.
“Secret Rose Garden” is topped with hand-sculpted roses made from white chocolate. An Earl Grey–infused milk chocolate sponge is balanced by silky white chocolate cream.
The heart-shaped “Barrel Together” hides a surprise heart when you slice into it. Built on a Sacher-torte–style chocolate sponge, it’s filled with raspberry ganache and raspberry mousse.
Rounding out the collection are “Petit Savoie Gift,” a modern reinterpretation of traditional baked treats from France’s Savoie region, and the crowd-pleasing “Mango Delight Roll,” which adds sweet apple mango to the popular Anglaise roll cake.
