‘Dongne Hanbaki’ host Lee Man-gi sampled Geochang mountain ginseng–aged grilled fish.
On the 25th broadcast of KBS 1TV’s ‘Dongne Hanbaki,’ a grilled fish cured with Geochang mountain ginseng stole the spotlight.

They slow-simmered the mountain ginseng over a low heat, let it cool, and aged it for two days to mellow its bitterness. That ginseng infusion was then used to cure the fish.
The fish was grilled in a wood-fired oven until the skin turned perfectly crisp while the flesh stayed tender and juicy. It was served with a spread of homestyle Korean side dishes that tasted like they were made by mom.
Taking in the generous spread, Lee Man-gi laughed, \”How am I supposed to eat all this?\” After trying the fish, he added, \”There’s not a hint of fishy smell.\”
