On the afternoon of the 25th, with spring in full bloom, LudenSia — a European-style theme park in Yeoju — was alive with children’s laughter. Normally a quiet spot, today it hummed with family energy.
The park was celebrating Children’s Day with a lineup of kid-focused activities.
As visitors stepped through the entrance into the plaza, thousands of soap bubbles filled the sky. Children reached out with tiny hands to pop the rainbow-tinted bubbles and ran freely across the lawn. Im Se-a, 8, a student at Maewon Elementary School in Suwon, told reporters, “Making a giant bubble felt like being a magician. Lifting a table into the air with the magician was amazing and so much fun.” She beamed, her face slightly flushed from the excitement.
More than simple play, the event featured magic shows and interactive stations designed to spark imagination. Several booths were crowded with “little architects,” silently focused as they crafted their own creations.
Parents were equally enthusiastic. Yoon-a Lee, 38, who traveled from Yongsan-gu in Seoul, said she appreciated the hands-on programs that let kids touch and try things rather than just watch. She added that the park’s European backdrop made every photo feel picture-perfect.

Throughout the morning and afternoon, stages around the venue hosted roughly ten performances, including dazzling balloon magic shows. Each time a magician seemingly produced a dog or a sword from thin air, cheers erupted from the crowd. Nearby, a cute Jimbo mascot hugged kids and posed for keepsake photos, adding heartwarming moments to the day.
Food offerings rounded out the festival fun. Families clustered around the lined-up food stalls, sharing snacks and conversations.
An event official said they were delighted to see children unplug and play outdoors, noting that the event was organized in partnership with global early childhood education brand Gymboree. They added that the park plans to continue presenting collaborative programs that offer families memorable experiences and a place to relax.
