[iNews24 Reporter Ahn Young-rok] A community ensemble called the Nature Resonance Goesan Orchestra, with members ranging in age from their 20s to their 70s, has formed in Goesan County in North Chungcheong Province, South Korea.
Goesan Cultural Center (Director Kim Chun-su) said on the 23rd that it had held the orchestra’s inaugural ceremony the day before.
The orchestra comprises 57 local residents who will study string, woodwind and brass instruments under conductor Lee Won-hee and 7 professional instructors.
They will begin formal instrument and ensemble instruction this month and plan to present a concert in December to showcase their progress.
Goesan Cultural Center Director Kim Chun-su said, \”The Goesan Orchestra will bring together recent arrivals and long-time residents, and connect people across generations through music, offering a shared melody of unity.\”
