[Sports Seoul | Reporter Wi Su-jeong] JLR Korea announced April 22 that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with global outdoor brand Snow Peak Korea and will introduce a luxury outdoor lifestyle program for Defender owners.
Under the agreement, Snow Peak’s Everland Campfield will host an exclusive program for Defender members. Owners can book a two-night, three-day weekend camping-and-dining experience with three accommodation choices: a premium auto-camping zone, a boutique tent-suite area, and Jyubako, a mobile house designed by world-renowned architect Kengo Kuma. The campfield will also include a Defender-branded zone, with Defender vehicles available on site.
The partnership grew out of a shared commitment to connecting with nature. JLR Korea has promoted an adventurous lifestyle through events such as Destination Defender, and says the collaboration will broaden its customer touchpoints. The program can be viewed and reserved in the membership section of JLR Korea’s One Care app.
Robin Colgan, CEO of JLR Korea, said, “We’re pleased to offer customers unique opportunities to experience and engage with the Defender lifestyle. Partnering with Snow Peak allows us to create spaces where people can fully enjoy nature away from the city and bring Defender’s values to life.”
Kim Nam-hyung, CEO of Snow Peak Korea, added, “With our goals closely aligned, we expect strong synergy. We will do our best to help customers enjoy a relaxed, high-quality camping culture.” The two companies plan year-round joint marketing, beginning with this program, to further enrich customers’ outdoor lifestyles. wsj0114@sportsseoul.com
