[SPOTV News=Busan, Reporter Yoon Wook-jae] Doosan kept rolling. The Bears demolished the Lotte Giants to push their win streak to four games.
Doosan topped Lotte 9-1 on April 22 at Sajik Stadium in Busan during the 2026 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO League season.
Starter Kwak Bin delivered six strong innings, throwing 94 pitches while allowing six hits, one walk and one run with seven strikeouts to pick up his first win of the season. The bullpen preserved the lead as Kim Jung-woo, Lee Byung-hun and Yang Jae-hoon each tossed a scoreless inning.
At the plate, Jung Soo-bin hit his second straight game with a homer and finished 2-for-4 with three RBIs and a run scored. Captain Yang Eui-ji and Park Jun-sun each collected three hits; Park also reached base four times overall.
After the game, manager Kim Won-hyung praised the pitching staff, saying Kwak once again showed ace-like stuff and led the club to victory. Kim acknowledged it was frustrating that Kwak’s recent strong outings hadn’t resulted in wins, so he was glad to finally see him get his first. He also singled out Lee Byung-hun for back-to-back appearances that helped stop the opponent’s momentum out of the bullpen.
Kim complimented the offense as well, noting Jung’s back-to-back homers came at key moments and swung the momentum. He added that Yang showed focus with a three-hit performance in big spots, and that youngster Park made a strong contribution by getting on base repeatedly.
Kim closed by thanking the fans who braved the cold and rain to cheer from the third-base stands.
Doosan will try to complete a three-game sweep of Lotte on April 23 at Sajik Stadium. The Bears have announced Jack Log as their starter; Lotte will counter with Elvin Rodriguez.
