[Sports Today Reporter Yoon Hye-young] Hybrid metal band NA103 has released their third single, \”To Love Is To.\”
The new single is more than another release; it serves as a record of the questions the band is confronting now. Whereas the previous single, \”Love Hurts,\” voiced the emotional rupture caused by love, \”To Love Is To\” asks what comes next.
Asked whether love is a wound or a way of being, NA103 says they arrived at a single answer: love is ultimately giving—an act of offering oneself. The track pairs vocalist Tom Ji’s distinctive timbre with a hard-rock, no-frills sound, driving the emotional current to its limit and probing listeners’ deeper sensibilities.
The music video for \”To Love Is To\” depicts the mating ritual of a praying mantis. The male’s act of surrender to the female becomes a symbolic reminder that love is devotion rather than possession, a matter of choice rather than calculation.
NA103 is officially a duo—Tom Ji and Joren—but the group departs from the conventional band model. They operate as a song-centered project, bringing in musicians tailored to each composition instead of relying on a fixed lineup. This approach is not mere expansion but a deliberate effort to realize each song fully, and they plan to carry it into live performances. To reproduce the studio’s dense sound on stage, they’re assembling a session team of domestic and international players.
Meanwhile, their second single, \”Love Hurts,\” released in January, attracted attention after surpassing 1 million views on YouTube without any television promotion. NA103 says it will continue releasing singles steadily to advance its message.
