Yoo Dong-hyun, Herald Economy — President Lee Jae-myung approved Shin Hyun-song’s nomination to serve as governor of the Bank of Korea on April 20, the presidential office’s senior spokesperson Kang Yoo-jeong said.
The appointment takes effect on April 21.
Earlier, the National Assembly’s Finance and Economy Committee held Shin’s confirmation hearing on April 15 and, after deliberation, adopted the hearing report.
