[MyDaily = Reporter Lee Ji-hye] Incheon International Airport Corporation announced on the 31st that it will enhance convenience for international travelers by expanding regional feeder routes.
For the summer season (March 29–October 24), Incheon Airport’s slots will increase from 78 to 80. As a result, the average daily number of scheduled flights will rise to 1,260 — up as much as 9.1% from 1,159 during the 2025 summer season.
Accordingly, the Incheon–Jeju domestic service will resume in May. The airport also plans to prioritize slots to add four weekly flights on the Incheon–Gimhae route.
Lee Sang-yong, head of Incheon Airport’s New Business Division, said, “Eighty movements per hour means an aircraft takes off or lands every 45 seconds. We will manage the expanded slots efficiently to actively support the early achievement of 30 million inbound visitors,” adding, “We will strengthen connections between Incheon and regional airports and adjust slots across key transfer corridors — such as Southeast Asia and the Americas — to maximize operational efficiency.”
