The mobile shooter Goddess of Victory: NIKKE marked its 3.5-year anniversary by unveiling an idol version of one of its characters.
Level Infinite showcased Anis’s idol transformation during a special broadcast on the 18th celebrating the milestone. The \”Shine On, Star Forever\” update depicts Anis rising as an idol in the group T.T. Star alongside Mint and Frica, even as the public greets the change with a cool reception.
Before the update was announced, the developer released the results of the \”Heartbeat! NIKKE Global Popularity Vote,\” held from the 8th to the 14th. Cinderella finished first. The studio also revealed category winners, including the most beloved NPC, Cecil; the top costume, Yeonhwa; and the most memorable Rapture, Modernia.
The 3.5 update adds an expansion weapon called \”Star\” and introduces \”Anis: Star,\” a unit that absorbs energy for multiple uses. It also brings an awakened combat form, \”Anis Star: Starlight,\” which appears shrouded in starlight.
Notably, the costume pick \”Twinkle Star\” guarantees both the Starlight costume and the T.T. Star costume. The total number of tickets required to claim all rewards will remain unchanged.
The update also debuts new outfits: idol-themed Rapi: Red Hood — Shine Light and Dorothy — Luna Knight, plus the dream-themed Riverrelio — Dreaming Lake.
Two new SSR characters arrive: Neon: Vision Eye and Avista. Neon, a member of the Counters faction, is immune to Corrosion, Dark Matter, and E2 Crystals and delivers heavy firepower. Avista, obtainable through a login-event reward, is a NIKKE assigned to the Steel Unit Overseer; she combines cool-headed judgment with an unexpected fandom for Anis.
The update also introduces a new Rapture, Egovista — an elite created by the Queen that can fly and wields a massive sword. To complement the idol theme, the team added a rhythm mini-game, TRACING THE STARS, and a Goods Bag System that lets players collect T.T. Star merchandise through field battles and display items in a virtual bag.
The main scenario expands with Chapters 45 and 46, featuring the New Counters, and an event story titled \”Star Anis\” that explores T.T. Star’s past. Developers also outlined gameplay improvements: clearing Intercept Stage 9 will raise corporate equipment drop rates to 100 percent, shooting logic will be applied in Battle View mode, and floor caps for the Tribe Tower and Corporate Tower will be adjusted.
To celebrate the 3.5 anniversary, the game will rerun six costumes — including Grave Beautiful Yu, Snow White White Night, Diesel Midnight Strawberry, Emma Office Therapy, and Breed Blackmoon. Daily mission rewards, Intercept, and Simulation Room rewards will be doubled, and players will receive more than 130 recruitment opportunities.
Level Infinite also teased a global commander cheer campaign that invites players worldwide to participate; if community goals are met, T.T. Star will perform live at well-known landmarks.
Offline events will accompany the update. NIKKE BAND LIVE will take place at YES24 Live Hall on July 18–19. From June 1–14, a pop-up shop called NIKKE AREA DEFENSE BATTLE will sell merchandise from the Japanese NIKKE permanent store in Seoul.
Preorders for a board game that includes 25 acrylic figures begin on the 18th, and a 3.5-anniversary album featuring T.T. Star’s performance is slated for May. The team is producing a 3.5-anniversary ASMR and will sell Anis: Star–designed earphones alongside other merch. The celebration will also include community events and outdoor ads at Hongdae Entrance Station.
