Suseong Artpia will present a recital by soprano Kim So-mi at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday the 29th in the small theater. The performance is part of the 2026 Suseong Renaissance Project — Young Artists Recital series.

Kim So-mi, known for a warm, rich tone and nuanced emotional expression, has performed extensively across Europe. After graduating from Daegu Catholic University, she earned a master’s degree in vocal performance from the State Conservatory of Parma, finishing at the top of her class. She also completed choir-conducting and musical/practical vocal programs at the Donizetti Academy, broadening her work across multiple genres. International vocal competitions have recognized her musicality and interpretive skill.
She performs actively both abroad and at home. In Italy, she appeared in Mozart’s Così fan tutte and was chosen as the soprano soloist for a Stabat Mater commemorating the 150th anniversary of Rossini’s death, performing at Brescia’s Duomo and Ravenna’s Dante Alighieri Theater. She has also taken part in the Verdi Off Festival at Parma’s Royal Theater. In Korea, her credits include the National Opera Company’s gala concert and Daegu Opera House’s production of Cavalleria Rusticana.
For this recital she will focus on European art songs and opera arias, offering a program that ranges from lyrical songs to dramatic arias. Program notes and commentary will accompany the pieces to help audiences follow the interpretations.
