[Sports Today reporter Kang Tae-gu] Ulsan Hyundai beat Incheon United thanks to Malcom’s stoppage-time header.
On April 11, Ulsan won 2-1 on the road at Incheon Football Stadium in Round 7 of the 2026 Hana Bank K League 1.
The victory moved Ulsan to second place with a 4-1-1 record (13 points). Incheon dropped to seventh with a 2-1-4 mark (7 points).
Ulsan set the tone early. In the 19th minute, Jung Seung-hyun sent a free kick wide, and in the 22nd minute Lee Dong-kyung’s shot went straight to the goalkeeper.
Ulsan opened the scoring in the 23rd minute. After Juan Ibiza’s back pass, Kim Dong-heon’s first touch was heavy; Lee Dong-kyung capitalized, intercepting the loose ball and threading a pass into the box that Yago converted for the opener.
Ulsan kept the pressure on. In the 28th minute, Choi Seok-hyun’s long-range effort was blocked by Kim Dong-heon, and in the 34th minute Yago’s follow-up attempt was also denied.
Incheon nearly responded before halftime. In the fourth minute of stoppage time, Lee Joo-yong’s free kick struck the post, and the teams went into the break with Ulsan up 1-0.
Ulsan had its own scare from the woodwork after halftime. In the 5th minute of the second half, Benji drove into the box and rattled the post with a shot.
Incheon drew level in the 26th minute of the second half. Seo Jae-min beat Ulsan’s defensive line near the box; Mugosa pounced, intercepted and finished to make it 1-1.
Incheon then had a chance to take the lead but came up short — Jerso’s 43rd-minute strike hit the post and bounced out.
Ulsan produced a dramatic finish. In the fifth minute of stoppage time, Malcom rose to head home the winner.
The final whistle confirmed a 2-1 road victory for Ulsan.
Meanwhile, at Gwangju World Cup Stadium, Bucheon FC 1995 defeated Gwangju FC 1-0.
The win lifted Bucheon to fourth with a 2-3-2 record (9 points). Gwangju remained 11th at 1-3-3 (6 points).
Bucheon took the lead in the 8th minute of the second half when Gallego scored, then held firm defensively to preserve the win.
