[Sports Today reporter Im Si-ryeong] K-pop quartet AB6IX — Jeon Woong, Kim Dong-hyun, Park Woo-jin and Lee Dae-hwi — will go on hiatus.
Agency BRANDNEW MUSIC said on the 10th via its official channels that AB6IX’s exclusive contract with the company, which has been in place since the group’s May 22, 2019 debut, will expire on May 25.
After thorough discussions with the members, the agency said AB6IX will pause group activities following the 2026 AB6IX CONCERT ‘6IX TO SEVEN’, scheduled for May 23 and 24.
BRANDNEW MUSIC added that it is engaged in in-depth talks with the members about contract renewals and that it will fully respect and support the members’ decisions as they embark on a new chapter. The agency asked fans to continue showing the four members their unwavering love and support.

AB6IX’s exclusive contract with us, which has been in effect since their debut on May 22, 2019, will expire on May 25. After careful discussions with the members, the group will take a short break after the 2026 AB6IX CONCERT ‘6IX TO SEVEN’, scheduled for May 23 and 24.
We are continuing in-depth discussions with the members regarding contract renewals, and we will fully respect and support their choices as they face a new starting point.
As BRANDNEW MUSIC’s first idol group, AB6IX has played a meaningful role in shaping the label’s musical direction and expanding its possibilities. From MXM and Wanna One to AB6IX, the members have grown steadily in their own roles and have solidified their positions as artists.
Through various experiments, they have built a distinct identity and consistently connected with fans through sincere music and performances.
We will do our utmost to support the successful completion of all scheduled activities through May, including the 2026 AB6IX CONCERT ‘6IX TO SEVEN’.
