[World Today Kim Se-hwa] Ottogi Co. unveiled two new LIGHT&JOY Low-Sugar Dressings — Sesame and Black Sesame — on April 10, cutting sugar content by more than 90%. The launch taps into the growing health-first consumer trend, offering lower-calorie, lower-sugar options while keeping the dressings’ signature flavors intact.
Both are shelf-stable emulsion dressings, so they’re easy to store and use. They blend seamlessly into salads and a variety of other dishes, helping to balance flavors. The LIGHT&JOY Low-Sugar Sesame Dressing uses roasted sesame to amplify a toasty, nutty depth, while the LIGHT&JOY Low-Sugar Black Sesame Dressing highlights black sesame’s distinctive, clean nuttiness for a smooth, layered taste.
An Ottogi spokesperson said, “We introduced these dressings to reduce sugar intake while preserving flavor, responding to consumers who care about both health and taste. We will continue developing products tailored to diverse lifestyles.”
