[TOUR KOREA=Seongran Jo, Reporter] HanaTour has teamed up with Japan’s top travel company H.I.S. to expand on-the-ground infrastructure in Hawaii and elevate its services. The companies are rolling out a one-stop offering—trolley rides, lounge access, and on-site information—that serves both package travelers and independent (FIT) guests, speeding up HanaTour’s push into the Hawaii market with a fresh, differentiated approach.
On April 10, HanaTour announced it will provide its customers access to local Hawaiian infrastructure through the strategic partnership with H.I.S.

Last year, the two companies formed a partnership to combine their global networks, airline and hotel operations, and digital technology. This collaboration has now produced its first tangible result.
The centerpiece of the new offering is H.I.S.’s LeaLea Trolley. Boasting the largest route network in Hawaii, the trolley links key Waikiki hubs with major shopping centers and popular attractions. It makes getting around simple—no need to juggle multiple transit options to hit the main spots.
Travelers will also gain access to the LeaLea Lounge in central Waikiki. More than a place to rest, the lounge provides tourist information, reservation support and concierge services—little luxuries that make a trip smoother. Tying transportation and relaxation together is a clear differentiator.
These perks apply equally to package travelers and independent (FIT) customers. HanaTour plans to use the offering to capture a wider range of travel demand, expand customer touchpoints, and strengthen its competitive position in the Hawaii market.
A HanaTour spokesperson described the partnership as “more than simple infrastructure sharing; it marks the beginning of confirming synergies between leading Korean and Japanese travel companies.” They added that the firms will continue collaborating on joint tourism content development, improving service quality, and boosting operational efficiency.
