On Arbor Day (April 5), crowds poured into the Cheongpung Lake cherry blossom path in Jecheon — one of the must-see cherry blossom spots in the northern part of North Chungcheong Province.
Groups of friends, families and couples posed beneath clouds of pink, using Cheongpung Lake as a picture-perfect backdrop and fully embracing the spring vibe.
The cherry trees around Cheongpung are roughly 60% in bloom now, with peak bloom expected around Wednesday, April 8.
The 30th annual Cheongpung Lake Cherry Blossom Festival opened the day before and runs through April 19 in the Multae-ri area of Cheongpung-myeon.
This year’s festival lineup features lively street performances, outdoor film screenings and curated photo zones — all perfect for making memories (and content).

A 47-year-old Jecheon resident identified as Ms. B said, \”Seeing the cherry trees in full bloom really lifts my spirits. I came with my family, and we’ll be taking lots of photos.\”
Park In-gyu, head of Jecheon city’s culture and video team, said, \”The roads around Cheongpung Lake are like a palace of flowers right now. We hope visitors make special memories here — whether on the cable car, the sightseeing boats or at Mt. Bibongsan — alongside the cherry blossoms.\”
