Sinan County in South Jeolla Province announced on April 3 that the \”2026 Island Daffodil Festival\” opened in Seondo, Jido-eup, drawing enthusiastic crowds of tourists and locals. The event has captured attention as a chance to soak in the vibrant beauty of daffodils.
The opening ceremony at the daffodil garden brought residents and visitors together to kick off the celebration. Afterward, guests streamed along daffodil-lined paths and stopped at popular photo spots, infusing the grounds with energy.
A hands-on daffodil drawing workshop was a big hit with families. Many attendees dressed in yellow, creating cheerful, Instagram-ready scenes throughout the festival.
To handle the expected rise in visitors during the festival, Sinan County has added extra ferry sailings to Seondo to ease travel. Officials are also boosting guidance and safety measures to ensure a comfortable, secure experience for everyone.
The \”2026 Island Daffodil Festival\” will run across Seondo through April 12. Meanwhile, ferry service from Garyong Port will pause from April 16 for maintenance; after that, access to Seondo will be available via Sinwol Port in Muan County.
