Comedian Kim Won-hoon reflected on concluding Long-Term Dating.
On the 2nd, he posted a lengthy message on Instagram: “The content that brought ‘Shortbox’ and the three of us together was ‘Long-Term Dating.’ I wanted to end the series in the most meaningful way with our subscribers.”
He wrote that reading messages from people who participated in the event made him realize the series was more than just content — it held the time and hearts of many. He thanked the subscribers who had supported and cherished them, saying, “Thank you for helping create this moment.”
He added, “I’ll remember this moment for a long time, and I’ll repay you with better content.” He also expressed gratitude to fellow entertainers, his Shortbox colleagues, and the production staff who worked on the project.
He reserved special thanks for his wife, saying, “Above all, I want to sincerely thank my wife, who cheered us on and celebrated with us more than anyone.” He also showed affection for Ji-yoon, saying, “You worked so hard, Ji-yoon.”
Kim Won-hoon, Eom Ji-yoon, and Jo Jin-se rose to prominence running the YouTube channel Shortbox, which hit its stride in 2022. Kim and Eom’s Long-Term Dating series was particularly beloved, and the pair recently brought the storyline to a meaningful close with their marriage.
Shortbox currently has 3.84 million subscribers, and its videos continue to attract strong viewership.
