Greenhat Security, a founding member of the Korea-Canada Blockchain & Cybersecurity Alliance (KCBCA), announced it has signed strategic partnership agreements with South Korean blockchain infrastructure firm InBlock and Taegwang Law Firm.
The signing ceremony was held with Canada’s Minister of Trade, Maninder Sidhu, and Canada’s ambassador to South Korea, Philip Napfortune, in attendance.
Officials said the agreements are expected to strengthen bilateral cooperation on digital assets and cybersecurity.
The accords were advanced as part of the KCBCA initiative, a Korea-Canada platform for collaboration on blockchain and cybersecurity.
Greenhat Security and InBlock will pursue joint projects focused on the cybersecurity and blockchain infrastructure needs of the digital asset industry.
They aim to build a trust-based infrastructure for the digital asset ecosystem through collaboration on blockchain audit technologies that leverage an IBM LinuxONE–based secure environment.
Greenhat Security and Taegwang Law Firm will also collaborate on legal and technical matters, including cybersecurity certification, regulatory compliance, and digital asset risk management.
Observers view the collaboration — valued at more than 1 million USD (approximately 1.33 billion KRW) — as a model for simultaneously strengthening technical infrastructure and legal/regulatory frameworks.
Jeon Seol, vice president of the Korea Entertainment Association, attended as a special guest.

Canada’s Minister of Trade and the Canadian ambassador to South Korea attended the signing in person and expressed optimism about expanding bilateral cooperation.
Paul Kim, the inaugural chair of KCBCA, called the agreement “a starting point for building trust-based infrastructure in the global digital asset market by combining Canadian cybersecurity technology with Korean blockchain infrastructure capabilities,” and said KCBCA will expand cooperation among businesses and institutions in both countries.
KCBCA is an international cooperation platform centered on South Korea and Canada that promotes collaboration on cybersecurity, blockchain infrastructure, and digital asset governance.
