K-Drama Stars Ryu Hwa-young, Lee Taeri, and Seo Hye-won Tie the Knot: What Fans Need to Know

[Sports Today reporter Lim Si-ryeong] April is shaping up to be a rosy month for K-ent: actors Ryu Hwa-young, Lee Tae-ri, and Seo Hye-won all announced weddings within days of one another, drawing an outpouring of congratulations.

Former T-ara member and actress Ryu Hwa-young announced on the 1st via her social media, writing, \”Adding certainty to my excitement, we now plan to walk the same path. Beyond love, we decided to become each other’s everything.\”

After the announcement, Ryu began sharing \”lovestagram\” photos. She has posted everyday snapshots with her fiancé, writing, \”I wanted to meet a man like a father — my wish came true.\” She affectionately called them the \”Dobby\” couple, saying they grow sweeter by the day and even dream of appearing on a couples variety show.

Her fiancé is a businessman three years her senior. The couple plan to marry on Sept. 12.

Also announcing a new chapter was actor Lee Tae-ri, known for his roles in Soonpoong Clinic, The Last Empress, The Moon Embracing the Sun and Extraordinary You.

His agency, Y-One Entertainment, said the actor will tie the knot in May with a cherished partner.

According to the agency, his fiancé is a non-celebrity, and the wedding will be held privately out of consideration for both families.

A surprise wedding announcement came from actress Seo Hye-won as well. Seo quietly married her non-celebrity partner earlier this year.

On the 1st, her agency Starbase Entertainment said Seo held a modest vow ceremony with family instead of a formal wedding and has completed her marriage registration earlier this year.

Seo has been a scene-stealer in numerous projects, including True Beauty, Nevertheless, Jirisan, Business Proposal, Alchemy of Souls, Extraordinary Attorney Woo and Pro Bono. In 2024, she drew attention for her turn as Lee Hyun-joo, a friend of Kim Hye-yoon’s character, in Seonjae Upgo Twieo.
