Wuling has introduced the 2026 Hongguang Mini EV, renewing its push into the ultra-low-cost electric vehicle segment.
The new model starts at 44,800 yuan (about $6,482; approximately 9.8 million KRW (about $7,350)) and tops out at 54,800 yuan (about $7,928; approximately 12 million KRW (about $9,000)), putting even the range-topping trim well below typical global EV prices.
Those price points are rare in the global market, and with available subsidies the out-the-door cost for buyers could fall even further.
Design changes…
Combines charm with everyday utility

This generation uses a \”Sweet Square\” approach — a boxy silhouette softened with rounded touches.
Round LED headlamps and softer detailing give the car a friendly face, while two-tone paint and new wheel designs add personality.
Overall dimensions tick up slightly, but the car retains a 4.5 m turning radius, preserving maneuverability for tight urban streets.
Interior upgrades
Punches above its size class

The cabin is organized around a 10.1‑inch display and a redesigned user interface.
The software includes practical modes — rest, camping, snow and pet settings — positioning the car as a lifestyle EV as much as a commuter vehicle.
Practicality is a focus: the Mini EV includes 20 storage spots and, with the second row folded, cargo capacity expands to 838 liters (about 29.6 cubic feet).
Up to 301 km range
Micro EV competition heats up

The powertrain pairs a 30 kW electric motor with an LFP battery pack.
Wuling offers two CLTC range options: 205 km (about 127 miles) and 301 km (about 187 miles). Fast charging from 30% to 80% takes roughly 35 minutes.
The structure uses high‑strength elements and the car comes with standard active and passive safety features to raise overall build quality.
Industry insiders say the benchmark for ultra-low-cost EVs is being rewritten, and the Hongguang Mini EV could reignite competition in the global budget EV market.
