[Herald Economy reporter Park Yeon-su] Hyundai Green Food, the food arm of Hyundai Department Store Group, announced on March 30 that it is launching two new frozen care-food lines: the Slow-Aging Lunchbox 5-Day Package and the Low-Sugar Plan 5-Day Package.
Both products are nutritionally designed care-food menus made as frozen meals to extend shelf life and make storage easier. Customers can choose five meals from a rotating selection of 5–8 menu options.
The Slow-Aging Lunchbox 5-Day Package (8 options) adapts the MIND diet—known for supporting healthy aging—to Korean tastes. It swaps white rice for brown rice, oats, and lentils, and each meal contains an average of more than 15 g of protein. Signature sets include black chicken galbi with perilla-oil fried rice and radish-saengchae fried rice with garlic pork roast. Prices range from 7,800–8,800 KRW per meal (about $5.85–$6.60).
The Low-Sugar Plan 5-Day Package (5 options) is formulated so the five-meal average has no more than 2 g of sugar per 100 g. Each meal delivers at least 18 g of protein. Menu examples include salmon with soy-cream sauce, spinach curry chicken rice bowl, and eggplant-and-pork rice bowl. Prices are 7,900–8,300 KRW per meal (about $5.93–$6.23).
