On the 29th, tvN aired an episode of the variety series ‘After-School Teacher Taeri’ that staged a mini autumn sports day for the entire student body of Yongheung Elementary. The episode unfolded like a lighthearted comedy of errors, tracing a day in which Kim navigated both chaos and heartfelt moments.

That day, Kim led her team with her trademark buoyant energy. She kept spirits high with constant cheering and praise and became a reliable support for any child who struggled. At one point she even sprinted across the field in acupressure slippers — a small, earnest gesture that spoke to her genuine care for the students.

After the sports day, Kim sat down for tea with Ahn Seong-jae and candidly shared the mixed emotions she feels as a novice teacher, along with the frustrations of plans that don’t always go as intended. Ahn advised her to let the children make more choices, prompting Kim to reconsider her approach and reaffirm her direction.

Later, she surprised viewers by stepping in as a judge for a cooking contest. Blindfolded, Kim sampled dishes prepared by Choi Hyun-wook and Kangnam in a playful parody of a “black-and-white chef,” earning laughs. After the hectic day, she said she felt as if her mind had cleared — a sign of a quietly strengthened resolve.

Perhaps most notable was Kim’s rehearsal process for the class play. Night after night — from script work to practice sessions and production meetings — she and the other teachers deepened their teamwork and made steady progress.
