[Sports Today Reporter Kim Tae-hyung] Singer Kim Yong-bin’s fan club turned its influence into concrete help for neighbors in need.
The Daegu–Gyeongbuk fan club Daegyeong Sarangbin announced that on the 25th it donated 3,130,000 KRW (about $2,066) to the Suseong District Office to support residents facing financial hardship.
Hailing from Sang-dong in Suseong District, Kim Yong-bin was appointed a promotional ambassador for the district and will help spotlight local tourist attractions and cultural events.
The fan club says the donation was organized voluntarily to honor Kim’s wishes.

The Suseong District Office said it will deposit the funds into the Hope Suseong Angel Account and allocate them to district-specific programs that assist marginalized residents.
Bae Chun-sik, acting mayor of Suseong District, thanked the group for spreading positive influence and supporting the community. “We will use the donation where it’s needed and do our best to ensure no neighbor is left behind,” he said.
Meanwhile, Kim Yong-bin gained nationwide recognition after winning the top title, Jin (眞), on TV Chosun’s Mr. Trot 3.
