[Sports Today reporter Kim Tae-hyung] K-pop supergroup BTS secured the top spot on SBS’s Inkigayo in the final week of March.
On the March 29 broadcast of Inkigayo, BTS’s “SWIM” faced off against IVE’s “BANG BANG” and Kiki’s “404 (New Era)” for the No. 1 position.
According to the official tally, BTS’s “SWIM” scored a total of 7,245 points: 1,000 album points, social media 2,000 points, 600 On Air points, 500 real‑time votes, and 3,145 online streaming points. IVE’s “BANG BANG” finished second with 4,218 points, while Kiki’s “404 (New Era)” placed third with 3,542 points.
BTS released their fifth full-length album, ARIRANG, on March 20. Named after Korea’s iconic folk song, the record probes the group’s roots and the feelings the seven members are navigating in 2026. The title track “SWIM” is an alternative-pop number that champions moving forward amid life’s waves.
Also appearing on the episode were Kang Min, Kim Eui-young, NouerA, DIGNITY, Moonbyul, Baby DONT Cry, V01D, AtHeart, S2IT, AB6IX, AmbiO, Choi Ye-na (YENA), ODD YOUTH, ALL(H)OURS, Yuna (ITZY), CSR (First Love), cosmosy, and H1-KEY.
